Loser- INTP
20% Extraversion, 60% Intuition, 60% Thinking, 20% Judging
Talked to another human being lately? I'm serious. You value knowledge above ALL else. You love new ideas, and become very excited over abstractions and theories. The fact that nobody else cares still hasn't become apparent to you...

Nerd's a great word to describe you, and I seriously couldn't care less about the different definitions of the word and why you're actually more of a geek than a nerd. Don't pretend you weren't thinking that. You want every single miniscule fact and theory to be presented correctly.

Critical? Sarcastic? Cynical? Pessimistic? Just a few words to describe you when you're at your very best...*cough* Sorry, I mean worst. Picking up the dudes or dudettes isn't something you find easy, but don't worry too much about it. You can blame it on your personality type now.

On top of all this, you're shy. Nice one, wench. No wonder you're on OKCupid!
Now, quickly go and delete everything about "theoretical questions" from your profile page. As long as nobody tries to start a conversation with you, just MAYBE you'll now have a chance of picking up a date. But don't get your hopes up.

I am interested though. If a tree fell over in a forest, would it really make a sound?

The problem with the Myer's-Briggs (and various variants) is:

Who says these are continuous variables?

For example - gender (masculinity/femininity) is/was traditionally considered a single dimension. No more - people are looking at them as being separate dimensions. So, psychological androgyny is possible (and desirable, from an adaptibility perspective) - high on both dimensions. People low on both dimensions are asexual (and we all know who you are...)

The problem is questions like this:
When it comes to being on time, are you usually incredibly early or terribly late

What if I'm on time? Late to social engagements, and on-time to meetings? Late with my family, always on time fpr the dentist? Silly.

[Hi!]

PS. And reading this last comment, I'll bet you can guess why I don't get invited to parties very often.

PPS. Put enough Barnum statements in the interpretation, and it doesn't matter whether the construct is valid or not - it'll be valid for you! (and everyone else...)

Oh wait - they already did that.

PPPS - guess which type I am.

I've been an INFJ consistently for over 30 years. I suppose that may make me a "freak" since INFJs are found in only about 1% of the population.
